Absztrakt
Intimacy, social support, having common goals or economic constraints? Relationships might vary in time across life events and differ during the transition to adulthood or after childbearing. In our analysis we use a dyadic approach to study couples’ relationships to evaluate their interactions examining traits that might enhance conflicts or cooperation between dyads. We investigate whether traditional or egalitarian behaviour in a relationship increases stability and what kind of behaviour induce more conflicts between couples. Our findings suggest that the partners’ attitudes influence their ways of division of household tasks and the couple’s partnership quality. We examined the correlation between gender equality measures with dyadic nominations of trust between couples and conflicts of division of housework. Regarding the findings partnership stability does not only stem from balanced agreements but on reciprocal nominations of trust, enjoying time spent together and childbearing perceptions. To test our hypothesis, we analysed the conversation dynamics of couples with the above-mentioned variables using text analytics methods.
