Research Interests

Karolina Balogh, Phd, is a junior Research Fellow at the at the Institute of Sociology, Centre for Social Sciences. She defended her doctoral thesis "The possibilities of juvenile delinquency prevention in the Hungarian child protection system" in 2024 at the Criminology Programme of the Doctoral School of Law of Eötvös Loránd University. Her main research interests are child protection and children's rights, but she also focuses on social inequalities, social mobility and social inclusion. In 2019, she received a research fellowship from the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and in 2022, the New National Excellence Programme (ÚNKP).
